Wireless Earphones:

In Bangladesh, these earphones are known as Bluetooth earphones. These devices can be wirelessly connected to your mobile, tablet, or laptop without any cable connection.

Advantages:

  • Easy to carry as it is small and light in size.
  • It perfectly fits in the ear to block out all external noises.

  • It can be easily used in daily work.

Disadvantages:

  • Long-time use may cause ear pain.
  • You can’t hear outside sounds.
  • Regular ear plugging can lead to infection.
  • Being almost completely isolated from outside noise, it is possible to have accidents while on the road.

Over-ear headphones or earphones:

Due to their large size, these types of earphones fit directly over the ear. A headband is used because it is large and can easily fit in the ear. They are relatively comfortable to wear and feel less pressure on the ears.

Advantages:

  • It is comfortable and fits well in the ear.
  • Can block outside sounds very well.
  • It can provide better audio due to the use of larger-size drives.
  • Due to the large battery, it can be used for a long time.

Noise Canceling Earphones:

Noise-canceling is an advanced earphone technology that can easily block unwanted outside sounds and help you listen in a relatively quiet environment. It reduces outside noise when you are in a noisy environment or traveling in a car, allowing you to use it without any disturbance.

Advantages:

  • It can block external noise.
  • It can improve sound quality.
  • It helps you stay focused while working or studying.
  • These types of earphones are beneficial while traveling.

Disadvantages:

  • The price is relatively high.
  • Noise-canceling technology requires batteries.

Bon Conduction Earphones:

These types of earphones are special because instead of sending sound directly through the ear, they transmit sound directly through the bones of the skull to our inner ear.

Thus, earphones do not directly block the sounds around us but transmit them to the inner part of our ears through vibration technology.

It is beneficial for those who want to listen to what’s happening around them, in addition to using the earphones, and it doesn’t put any pressure on the inside of the ear for long periods of use.

Advantages:

  • Due to open ears, external sounds can be easily heard.
  • It is very beneficial for those who are hard of hearing.
  • It is very comfortable for long-term use.

Disadvantages:

  • Their sound quality could be better than regular earphones.
  • It can’t provide good-quality bass.
  • The price is higher than other earphones.

So, one must choose an earphone based on need and usage. You have to decide whether you will use it during exercise, while commuting, for enjoying movies, or for listening to music.
